A year of constant growth ends with a flurry
2005 was a good year for the Dark Wax website, a very good year and it looks like 2006 is gonna be an absolute stinker. Doubt what I say is the truth? check the stats (the Numbers never lie). In April we had 25,696 hits but this number has steadily increased to 172,304 in December and then suddenly shot up to 600,100 in January 2006 and seems to be steadily increasing. Thats over half a million hits in one month. You can check the growth pattern and see what countries visit us most for yourself on the bar charts and pie chart. |

After almost a week Dark Wax is finally back on line, bigger, faster & better than ever. Thats right Dark Wax has moved to a new server and this time the whole server is exclusivly DW so there "should'nt" be any more problems in the future. There may be some minor teething problems over the next few days, but just bare with us and normal service will be resumed shortly. |

Website Dead - Popularity Kills
Thats right Dark Wax was offline for the first time in a year thanks to an unprecedented rise in visitors to the site and the amount of mix sets & media being downloaded. The latest mix set "the riddim sessions" from mistic was downloaded over 10'000 times in 16 days, this combined with a doubling of users in the same 16 days was to much for the server we where on. To top it all of, our web hosting company decided on this time to cease operations. This meant we were down for 5 days and are currently still in the middle of sorting all this out, so for the moment the mix sets are gone but we are working on providing bit torrent download links, which should be up soon. The site may go off line again but if it does, its because were transferring to a new provider which should'nt take longer than a day or two.
